Hello Lovely Album Box Book

Here is an Album Book Box that I made.  It was pretty easy to do and it didn't take very long either.  You could make it in a day.  I love this Hello Lovely paper and instead of hoarding it I wanted to make something out of it that I could look at.  So when I saw the Album Book Box over at Country Craft Creations I knew I wanted to make it with this paper.  I love how it came out.
You can watch this short video on how it works.  Every page has a pocket on the top but I totally forgot to mention it and make inserts for it.  You can bet I will get that done next.  LOL

Her is the box all decorated up.  Everything is Close To My Heart except the 2 white flowers.  They are from Petaloo Textured Elements which I got from Mainely Stampin.
The box measures 5"x 5 3/4" x 1 5/8"

I did all 4 sides the same.  The Box is New England Ivy cardstock, mats are Sea Glass and the pattern paper is Hello Lovely (sorry but this is no longer sold).  Like I said I didn't want to hoard it any longer.

Here is the bottom.  Can you tell its upside down.  The sticker is really on correctly.  I just turned the box over the wrong way.  LOL!!!

You can see the album from the end and now you can tell how thick it is.  You only have 1/4" gussets so you really can do a lot of embellishing.  But that's ok because the paper is so cute.

They first page is a flap page.  There are 3 pages with flaps on them.  I used the Complementing stickers that came with the Workshop Your Way.  They really make the paper come to life and add to the story of the book.
The insert in all the pockets are from the cut apart pages that have 3 4x6 cards and 6 3x4 cards on them.  I matted them on some cardstock that was left over from the box and book.

Every page has a large pocket at the top and a small pocket at the bottom.

Here you can see the last page and the bottom of the box.  The box uses no chipboard at all.  But because of all the matting it ends up with 5 layers so the Box is actually very strong.

  2. Thanks Clare, but I make things that I see and just tweak them a little to my taste.
